 This year's HopeWalk is going to be GREAT!!!
The 5K Walk begins at 9AM - walkers come out to register between 8 and 8:45AM. GARTH KEMP from ABC News will be joining us once again. The walkers warm up and proceed on the route to Oxnard and Lankershim and back down to Riverside to the park.
Register now at: Hopewalk Registration When walkers return they are greeted with music from 92.3 The Beat. Volunteers have set up food tables with a taste of healthy foods from local restaurants and markets.
They also set up stations for the kids ages 8 to 19 to begin the Kid's Healthy Activity Fair at 11 AM. These youngsters win prizes by going to each station and trying the sport or activity such as double dutch, dancing, soccer, football and more. Restaurants and Markets have supported this event by providing a taste of healthy foods over the years...Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Baja Fresh, Panda Express, Superior Markets, Ralphs, Vineland Produce, Magnolia Grille and Jamba Juice. Other Sponsors include COUNCILMAN TOM LABONGE, MIDTOWN NORTH HOLLYWOOD NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL, NOHOARTSDISTRICT.COM, SPARKLETTS AND MORE.... Just $20 Adults $10 Kids REMEMBER !! HOPEWALK BENEFITS HANDS FOR HOPE AND ALLOWS US TO CONTINUE PROVIDING FREE, SAFE, QUALITY AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS FOR AT RISK YOUTH. "New Team Activity Challenge" Teams of 5 adults or 1 adult and 4 children can wear their t-shirts representing their company or group and join the fun.
