-Tom unveiled a replica of the Galileo, Apollo and Jupiter mural that
once adorned the 101 freeway downtown.  The graffiti-resistant replica
is the first of many to be installed by Caltrans.

-The final night of Tour LaBonge rolled through Hollywood Wednesday
night.  Nearly 100 riders took the final lap of the season in Tom's
annual bike series.

-An increase in local film production was applauded by the
Councilmember.  Runaway film production has impacted some 16,000
entertainment industry professionals living within Council District 4.

-The Hollywood Walk of Fame kicks off its 50th Anniversary celebration
on Sunday, July 25.  There will be performances, tours and activities
scheduled throughout Hollywood.  Restaurants and attractions, like
Madame Tussauds, are offering discount prices.  Pick up a free printed
program from an information table at the following locations:
●       Hollywood & Highland Center-6801 Hollywood Boulevard
●       Egyptian Theatre-6712 Hollywood Boulevard
●       Capitol Records-1750 N. Vine Street
●       The Montalban-1615 N. Vine Street

-Metro is still accepting comments about the Draft Environmental Impack
Report/Environmental Assessment (EIR/EA) for the Wilshire Boulevard Bus

-Metro will conduct public hearings throughout Los Angeles County
during the first two weeks of August about the proposed service changes
to take place December 12, 2010.  For the hearing schedule or more

-The Los Angeles Police Department's Olympic Division will host its
annual National Night Out (America’s Night Out Against Crime) on
Tuesday, August 3, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Olympic Community Police
