I. Call to Order by Cary Adams at 6:40 p.m. and Pledge of Allegiance recited. Roll Call by Radomir Luza with 19 present, 0 excused 0 absent. Quorum present.

II. Review of Minutes 12/10/08

Motion #08.059 by Gloria Gold second by Jerrell Walls to accept the Minutes as amended for the Regular Monthly Meeting held on November 12, 2008.

· Mary Garcia will be point person regarding the Q-Star Cameras that are in operation throughout the area.

· Announced Quarterly Valley Neighborhood Council Training Day; Earthquake Preparedness and working with first responders

· Universal City/NBC Town Hall thanked everyone for coming out on November 11, 2008.

· MTNHC Town Hall Monday November 17, 2008.

· Passing of Beverly Garland acknowledged.

· Jerrell Walls – Free immigration workshop December 11, 2008 7:30 p.m. at Christ’s Chapel.

· Radomir Luza – Spoke regarding putting up traffic arrow on Whitsett and Victory.

· Paul Perner - Spoke regarding a verbal Holiday Greeting Card.

· Robin Hart-Cohen – Spoke regarding MTNHNC Holiday Celebration December 13, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. North Hollywood Park Senior Center.

· Jennifer Freund – Spoke regarding the holiday Food Drive at Impressions Corporate LA in Van Nuys.

· Mary Garcia – Invited stakeholders to come to the MTNHNC holiday event on December 13, 2008 at North Hollywood Park; everyone on the Board is supposed to sign up for a committee.

· Gary Baratta.- Spoke regarding water and desalination in case of a drought..

· Diann Corral – Spoke on painting holiday tiles, which will be permanent installation in the park.

· Gary Baratta - PLHUT met on December 4, 2008. Path Ventures Senior Housing made a presentation.

· Jennifer Freund – MTNHNC Website is up and live. Website items need to be sent to Jennifer at www.midtown.noho.org.

VIII. Treasurer’s Report - Ms. Corral.

· First quarter budget will be presented at the January 2009 meeting;

· Requested funds must benefit whole community, not just individuals.

Presentation by Carmello Sabatella on the Tiara Inter Generational Center project.

XV. Update, The Grotto – Syntax Theater

George Berberic - An update on the Syntax Theater was presented and flyers were passed out.

Motion #08.060 by Gary Baratta second by Frank Mihelcic that the MTNHNC approve the Path Ventures project at 5525-5539 Klump Avenue

Gary Baratta made presentation including: Town Hall Meeting update; Green Space; L.A. River; suggested getting city officials behind planning, suggested video taping citizens in North Hollywood regarding problems.
