You are invited and encouraged to attend any meeting of the Mid-Town NoHo Neighborhood Council. Neighborhood Council Committees are the heart of our neighborhood council. Committees are where ideas to improve our community are first considered and developed to be presented to the to the full council at a regular meeting. Your are very welcome and encouraged to attend any of our many committee meetings.
Arts and Humanities: To build bridges between cultures & other communities. To embrace, celebrate and make viable, creativity.
Beautification: Works on community beautification projects such as landscaping, median improvements, tree plantings, neighborhood clean ups and streetscape improvement projects in North Hollywood and to promote the Arts in our community..
Communications: The Communications Committee is dedicated to informing all of the Stakeholders in Midtown NoHo about what is going on at your Neighborhood Council and in our community. We welcome community participation at our meetings on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 6 pm. Disaster Preparedness: The Disaster Preparedness Committee identifies areas in which local First Responders are in need of support, and promotes opportunities for stakeholders to enhance their preparedness in case some calamity should fall upon them.
Executive Committee: The duties of the Executive Committee are generally administrative including reviewing proposed budgets and providing guidance to insure the well-being of NoHo NC. The Executive Committee meets on an as needed basis and are open to all concerned.
Grievance Ad Hoc Committee:
Handles any grievances filed and MTNHNC grievance policies. Limited to five Board members with two alternates. This is an Ad Hoc committee that is activated based on need.
Planning, Land Use, Housing and Transportation: To review planning notices for conditional use permits and zone changes within our boundaries. To check sites and attend planning hearings if necessary. Will also review regional transportation issues. Rules & Elections: Review and recommend Bylaw and Standing Rule amendments as needed. Review past election procedures and make current recommendations for any changes needed. Plans and makes arrangement for MTNHNC elections. Meetings held the first Tuesday of each month at Amelia Earhart North Hollywood Library from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
